It is with great sadness that the football fraternity learned of the recent death of one of Greenmount’s greats – Val Hackett. (Father of former Brooklodge player Lenny)
Val was a super player on the field of play and was blessed with a God-given talent that made him stand out among others.
He will be remembered for many of his magical displays throughout his era.
May he rest in peace.
